Q'mir is pronounced as you would slur the words "come here" (c'mere).  We said it so much to our pet rabbit that it became her name, and eventually the name of this group.  She ran away within days of us borrowing her name to pay homage with our music.
Q'mir was a duo of Olivia Quintana and myself, Jay Schleidt.  We had this small project going for about a year, maybe late 2005 to mid 2006.  Olivia is a classically trained musician (mainly trumpet), and has studied composition, conducting, and music pedagogy.  I've mostly done made-up-by-myself experimental sound explorations since I was young.  This album was released by Stentorian Tapes.
